PROCEDURE

1. The esthetician will cleanse your face and neck.

2. Your skin will then be prepped with a microdermabrasion.

3. Dr. Rainone will make several passes over the treatment area with the HoyaConBio Medlite™ C6 laser
   (a Q-switched Yag).  This non-ablative laser removes dead keratin & stimulates fibroblasts to produce
   collagen and elastin.

   The sensation resembles the prickly, tingly feeling on your wrist from a 4th of July sparkler.

4. A cool towel is applied, followed by a masque or soothing cream and SPF sunscreen.

RESULTS & RECOVERY

You will experience both immediate & delayed results over the following 2 weeks.

Typically skin appear pink or light red like a mild sunburn for several hrs. & occasionally into the next day.
Hives, swelling, or severe redness is rare.  Brown spots can appear temporarily browner as they condense to the surface and fade over the days to follow.

A series of 3 treatments usually 1 month apart is recommended for best results. 
Additionally, ongoing maintenance is recommended quarterly.
The number of treatments and the degree of need for maintenance varies.

While laser facials are by no means a replacement for a facelift,
the satisfaction rate is high given the alternatives.
This procedure does not require the healing time & recovery necessary w/ ablative or fractional lasers,
surgery, or deep chemical peels.

2. Other Body Areas: Rejuvenate Hands & Chest --removing brown stains, smoothing and tightening.
3. Melasma
4. Stretchmarks: some improvement has been observed with this laser in this practice.
5. Scars: Flat,  Skin-colored scars may soften in appearance.  Raised red scars are treated with IPL.
   Raised thick ropey or keloid scars are injected with steroid medication by Dr. Rainone.
