Injections for Reducing Small Areas of Fat

ABOUT  LIPODISSOLVE

Lipodissolve differs from mesotherapy in 2 very important ways:

1. Lipodissolve uses a compounded formula containing only
phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate (PCDC).
These are the active ingredients that are presumed to break down or “melt” the fat. 
(The compounding pharmacy is right here in New Hampshire.) 

2. The solution is injected deeper into the fatty tissue
and not into the skin or just under the skin as with mesotherapy.

This procedure has been practiced in Europe for quite some time,
but it has gained considerable popularity in the U.S. in recent years
and FDA clinical trial is in progress See trial info.

Dr. Rainone has been performing this procedure for 6 years and has received his training and refresher training from Dr. Franz Hasengschwandtner, a worldwide leader in this field.

Please be advised that lipodissolve is still considered INVESTIGATIONAL,
 is NOT FDA-approved, and warrants further study to establish safety and efficacy.


PROCEDURE

1. A topical anesthetic cream is applied, followed by a treatment with the Erchonia Lipo Laser™
2. Then multiple small doses of the active ingredient are injected throughout the target area.
3. The entire procedure takes 15 to 30 minutes.
4. All injections are performed by Dr. Rainone. 
There is usually mild to moderate immediate, tingling, burning, and/or itching.



RECOVERY

Mild to moderate bruising, moderate to severe swelling, and tenderness and soreness especially for the first 3 days, and up to several weeks.  Bumpiness may be felt over this same time period.
Reduction of fat is gradual and may become evident between weeks 4 - 8.
2 to 4 sessions about 8 weeks apart are recommended.

APPLICATIONS

1. Small Areas of Fat : Lipodissolve appears to work best on small areas of fat like the DOUBLE CHIN, JOWLS,  & CHEEKS;
and on less dense (softer, less rubbery) areas of fat on the body like the lower abs and the back of the upper arms.

 
2. Cellulite: While cellulite has no definitive cure, the bumpy texture can sometimes be smoothed
by injecting into the high spots around the puckered dimples.

3. Lipomas: Surgical excision is still the treatment of choice for removal; however many clients have been pleased with the reduction of these lesions by injection.

4. After Liposuction: Lipodissolve evens out  minor imperfections after liposuction surgery and has been helpful for avoiding a revision surgery.
